Welcome to the newest issue of the Hit Exchange News and this week's 'One To Click On by Jon'.

Crash and burn...That would be a pretty good way to describe the past 10 days of my life. I appologize to everyone for missing last week's Hit Exchange News. I try to get this puppy out every single Thursday, but this funny thing called 'life' happened. Make a long story short, the database which had every single peice of information on H.E.N. and Net Marketing Forum, crashed and was corrupted. Lesson learned? Don't rely on your host for back up files. Keep them with you, and do back up's as much as you can! Everything is back to 'normal' now and things can now move forward.

Thank you VERY much, to the hundreds of e-mails I received in support of last week's crash. Your words of encouragement and support are greatly appreciated and it meant a lot. I truly thank you for the e-mails and once again, you show me each week what a fantastic membership H.E.N. really doe shave! Thank you! =)

Good news or bad news? Bad news first, you will need to go and register with Net Marketing Forum again (Click here to sign up to NMF) because the database was lost. The good news? It's been AMAZING at NMF since we got the new version installed. It has once again become the hotbed of communication between hit exchange owners and users and fellow surfers alike. I think the crash was a blessing in disguise because WOW, the forums have been rocking!

Now that everything is back to 'normal', H.E.N. moves forward too. This is an issue I'm very proud of, it's jam packed with info and some interesting news indeed. I hope you enjoy this week's H.E.N. and once again, thank you so much for being a subscriber!

• Have you been caught by the EMM bug? Apparently, an offshoot of the popular EMM, Club 20 K, has been contacting exchange owners and have been asking them *cough* Spamming them *cough* to let them know that this new program will be 'endorsing' hit exchanges as the 'next generation of marketing tools'. Cool, I guess, but could'nt there have been a better way to promote the fact that you are now telling your members to surf the exchanges? I received, in one day alone, over a dozen Club 20 K 'invitations' to look at their program. A hype machine wanna be perhaps?

• A new auto hit exchange called 'X treme - Surfing' caught the spam fever too this week. But this one is actually very commical. This is the email I received, word for word,;

  "We have just opened up a new Autosurf site and we are in need of advertisers. Please goto the advertising section of our site to check out the great offers we have. We have unbeatable prices.
  Thanks for your time,
  The X-Treme Surfing Team"

• The Hit Exchange News Co-Op performed great during my time offline. I was very pleased to see the Co-Op do great on it's own. If you are a current member of the Co-Op, please check out NMF for updates and news. Also, if you have any questions about the co-op, please let me know. It's a great time to get involved as the net's premier traffic co-op is about to delebrate 6 months of business!

• In another one of my 'Hit Exchanges to watch for, that you may not be aware of' comes Hit Hurricane. This is definately one to watch as the owner has been very active in tweaking his exchange to meet the needs of his members. The traffic has been coming in and out of Hit Hurricane at a very nice pace and this may be one of those sleeper exchanges like Easy Hits 4U...A steady performer, nothing flashy, just great traffic.

• And finally Traffic G makes this week's news for a very nice site re-design. One of the older hit exchanges on the block has got a face lift and it looks very good. This may be a good time to promote the new Traffic G, as many folks may not be familiar with the new look and you could get a nice amount of referrals!

"Is there some kind of directory of hit exchanges? A search engine that lists them all?"

Hi Nadine,

The first and one of the most detailed was definately Fast Traffic, they had everything in that website from exchange ratios to information about maximizing your exchange experience. It was great! However they have since removed their site and I'm not sure if it has been replaced and moved somewhere else. It's too bad because this was the best resurce around!

New Start Pages is a daily 'newsletter' that sends you information of new released hit exchanges, as they are brought online. They have a detailed master list of thousands of exchanges, but you will find that the majority of them no longer exist. But definately a good reference point.

However, this list contains all hit exchanges, auto surf ones too. I'm not a fan of auto hit exchanges, so for a detailed list and news of new manual exchanges, you can check out Manual Traffic Surf. This is a wonderful resource and a great newsletter to receive as well!

About a year or so ago, the guys at RX2 Group and myself took on this project called Click Crazey. Wow, what a mess it was. The script was an old Perl code that used system resources to the max and the design was 'interesting' to say the least. With hours of tweaking and weeks of promotion we turned Click Crazey into a very respectable and popular hit exchange.

I have since left the Click Crazey company but the RX2 Group has remained and continue to make Click Crazey a powerful program. This past week was the re-launch of the program with a brand new script and a brand new look. And the changes were definately a good choice. The program is running on all cylinders and things are looking good for the program.

Click Crazey was one of the first 'themed' exchanges, it attempted to put the user in control. Click Crazey was meant to be fun and was meant to add something different and entertaining to your daily clicking. This is a very active program and has thousands of daily surfers. Again, this is a great program to target your advertising. With the new features you can now add banners and text links as well as the basic surf for credit features.

There's lots to like about the new version of Click Crazey and this program should continue to perform day after day!
