Welcome to the newest issue of the Hit Exchange News and this week's 'One To Click On by Jon'.
This week in Hit Exchange Survivor....
Tribe Auto Surf has had to decide which exchange has not been pulling it's own weight. AutoHits, the oldest of the Tribe, has been in quite a little 'arguement' with the rest of the council over which program has the highest success rate. A few harsh words have been exchanged but it looks like they are planning to give the boot to BizzySurfer.
However Bizzy, does not want to give up so easy, and does not plan to go without a fight. In the final contest before the vote, CasHits did defeat Bizzy in a game of 'Wasted Bandwidth' but Bizzy claimed CasHits cheated. This did not look good on Bizzy, so the council looks to be giving Bizzy the BOOT!
Meanwhile, in Tribe Manual Surf, the disappearance of AskMiky has got the tribe concerned. Last seen in the jungle, Miky has not been heard from in some time but that did not stop EZhits4U and Hit Harvester from ganging up on NoMoreHits in their secret contest of 'Which Exchange Is the Best circa 2001 ?'...While some of these older programs praised each other, newcomers MysticalMaze and Hit Hurricane have done very well in the past 3 rounds....
Who will win this season's Hit Exchange Survivor? Will Tribe Manual Surf continue to shine in weekly competitions or does it look like Tribe Auto Surf will bow out gracefully and accept defeat???

- Top Surfer is selling solo ad's for $100 ??? In a very interesting move, Top Surfer has now began to send their members 'solo ads' that seem to be purchased from companies outside of the 'typical' exchange market. Good idea? Bad idea? I'm not sure if I appreciate my e-mail address being used for solo ads, but it does show an exchange reaching out and trying to secure advertising from different markets.
- Cash Clicking Part 2? Traffic Meet has released a brand new feature that resembles the Cash Clicking format of reselling earned credits to members. Yes, the Meet is now an open market exchange. Great for buying hits...Cheap!
- Hit Sense is changing things up a bit! They have redesigned their surf bar and you will need some powerful glasses to see which link to click on. Again, there is a need for visble cheat protection, but visble is the key word.

"Do you think the exchanges are getting so complicated that the surfers spend more time trying to figure out all the little matching icons that they forget to look at the ad page?"
My reply;
Thanks for the e-mail Warren!
Wow, do I ever! I mean, I understand the importance of visble cheat
protection, and encourage it in all exchanges. But sometimes these programs
are scarring people away.
There's a fine line between protecting your exchange and a good product for
your users, and it seems as a lot of the exchanges are either creating
symbols, or color coding that is so very small. One of the worst things, I
find, is the 'type in the box word' protection. Half of the time you cant
even tell if an I is a T or vice versa.
Yes, definately a problem and hopefully something that can be addressed =)

| Program Review - Hit Pulse |

The most used exchange on the net! Ranked number one in Alexa! A quick 10 second timer! Money making pro upgrades!
I'm not sure what to say about good ol' HP. It's been around for quite some time and has the most active membership out of all the exchanges. This alone should propell Hit Pulse to a number one ranking in H.E.N. each week right?
Hit Pulse lacks in so many areas, but could be fixed in a second. Number 1, their online customer support is so slow. Not only do you have to wait days for a response, but at times the answers you do get in return leave a lot to be desired. And Number 2 are the hits themselves. Are they being delivered? At times, everything looks fine, but then the odd time I only seem to track 300 out of 3000 hits purchased. Very weird.
These are not enough to make Hit Pulse a 'bad' program, because of you want traffic, the Pulse delivers! The traffic flow is unmatched and it's a perfect exchange for custom made splash / doorway pages. Remember, it's a quick program so a slow loading page being promoted in HP is useless. Make sure it's quick and eye catching!
Overall, Hit Pulse can be SOOOO much better. It's got the right design, the right audience and the right product. There just needs to be more emphasis on the service side of things!
