The art of an e-mail. As many folks know, e-mailing your 'list' is a very powerful form of online advertising. Your list can be formed from everywhere, your downline in XYZ Program or perhaps you have started your own money making program and have built a loyal following. Hit exchange owners have indeed built a list, which they have every right to e-mail when they see fit. However this 'luxury' should not be taken for granted and many owners have seen the need to send multiple e-mails every day.

Last week I sent two e-mails, one was for H.E.N. the other was for an immediate notification of one of the more popular new released hit exchanges to come online. This is Issue 35, and you have received 36 e-mails from H.E.N.

The art of list management is so simple, it's amazing that more owners do not follow this. I, for one, WANT to know what is happening in your program. Send me an update, send me a weekly 'news' e-mail, even if it's just to remind me how many credits I have left in my account, I appreciate the communication and welcome it. How many times does one member have to get e-mailed about a 'credit' special? Or a 'bonus surf time'? Trust me, this does not increase user activety in fact it can be annoying.

You have created a list, manage it well. Send an update, let us (the users) know what is going on in your program. All we ask is that you do not flood our inboxes.

"My pet peeve is exchanges that give a large amount of credits for a sign up bonus, a 1:1 ratio, and mail you consistantly to buy more credits at a ridiculously low price. This is just a time bomb for the exchange to stop delivering. On top of that, new surfers who don't know any better, buy their hits at the cheapest place possible only to find out the exchange they invested in can't deliver. Exchanges running like this are only there for the owner to get some quick cash, and its going to give this industry a bad name."

• Wow, what a launch! Clicks Matrix was released last week to huge support and waiting arms. The creators of WebmasterQuest and CashClicking have blended all that made their other programs great into a huge potential money maker for all invovled. Want proof this exchange is a hit? Over 30 % of people that sign up, have upgraded their accounts. I guess the Matrix is everywhere, huh Neo?

• Bribe surfer? Not that this is a brand new concept, but the title of it just does not sit well with me. Top Surfer has decided to create a 'Bribe Page' where users can give credits to other members that sign up for various programs. Again, this is not a new concept but how about calling it something like 'Affiliate Rewards' or something that does'nt make you think you are dealing with the devil?

• Mystical Maze continues to improve it's service and secures it's place as one of the best new exchanges in 2003 / 2004. The brand new Maze is ready to go and user activety is at an all time high. Congrats on a job well done!

• Attack of the Cheat Programs! Imagine my surprise to find 4 new 'Auto Hit Machine' e-mails in my inbox yesterday morning. Looks like Auto Credit 3 has some competition. For all you owners out there that want to black list ANOTHER cheat program, drop me a line and I'll let you know about it.

The jury is out on site rotators. While I've been a fan of site rotators for many years, a lot of the new exchanges are not allowing them into their systems. The reason? Abuse. Many users insert frame breaking URLs and other malacious websites into the rotators of which the hit exchange has no control over. For the owner (and users) of rotators this has caused quite a problem. This is a niche product, specifically designed for exchanges. Without a hit exchange, site rotators would not have much merit.

My opinion is simple, exchange owners need to work hand in hand with rotator owners. The end result would be, a superb site rotator that is accepted by exchange owners and users alike. Here's some of the more popular site rotators on the market;

• Page Swirl - Arguably one of the most popular site rotators. The smooth layout and easy to use members area makes Page Swirl a very solid program. Add a generous affiliate program and some great bonuses, you've got a bright future choice of 'pro marketers!'

• Rotate A Page - Value and performance has made Rotate A Page a very useful rotator for it's members. There's a bunch of benefits and a very nice referral program to go along with a rock solid program. The low cost keeps this a great option for potential users.

• E-Biz Rotator - The grand daddy of site rotators and the largest program online. Unfortunately, this program has been plagued by zero customer service, rising costs, and horrible servers. There was a time about a year ago when E-biz Rotator was offline more than it was online.

Yes and no. For example, yes you can make money from opening your own hit exchange. If you do it right. And no, would be that the majority of folks that do open an exchange do a very poor job of planning and promoting their new system.

Hit exchanges can be a very useful tool to owners and users but if you just launch a new exchange and put nothing behind the creativety side of things, sufficient marketing of the exchange and put in the time to build strong networks of other owners / users...it wont go far =)

It's been a good month for hit exchanges! There has been some very solid new releases over the past few weeks and Million Dollar Traffic fits the bill. The most surprising thing about this program is how well it actually works. Things That Make You Go...Hmmm? (We're just having fun folks, no disrespect intended!)

From Hit Shark: "No pop-up windows, exit or entry (Fly-in Ads OK)" What's worse? A window that pops up or a fly in ad that freezes your screen? Hmmm.... Tool Bar Traffic? Hmmm...
