Welcome to the newest issue of the Hit Exchange News and this week's 'One To Click On by Jon'.
I will never consider myself an online teacher, all I ever talk about is my experience. It's never something that I read somewhere, it's real life experiences. Here's one many people try to 'teach you', and I hope to show you what has worked for me.
Does this sound familiar? Join an online discussion forum and start to post your business opportunities, this is a safe and easy way to advertise.
It maybe easy but it does not work. Jumping from forum to forum and posting your latest hype machine does not sit well with the members of that forum. Not only will you get no response, you may even loose your account if the forum owner sees fit.
Folks, a forum is a great marketing tool. Yes, you can and should advertise any opportunity you are invovled in, but in forums, there's no quick way to success. Forums are great because you get to build relationships with other online professionals and at the same time, create a network! Ahh the magic word!
This is so important because as many of you may know, the connections you make online can be very beneficial to all invovled. I owe the majority of my success online to the network I built in many online forums. I've started businesses and even aquired businesses via online forums and frequent them everyday.
This is a different kind of promotional tool, a long term network that you build each day. Again, this is not from a book, or has it been read to me by some online guru. Find a forum and GET INVOLVED! Meet your fellow entrepreneurs and you never know, that next connection you make can be your key to some huge benefits!

"My main problem with some of the hit exchanges are the downloads that I get from them. Because a lot of the downloads are Trojans. I believe this could be prevented if the webmasters of the Hit Exchanges would manually test the urls before allowing them. This would also mean we'd have to stop using rotators, however, the Hit Exchanges could allow us to put in more than one url. On the other hand, I believe it's best to promote 1 business at a time so as not to waterdown your advertising."

- Earth to EZY Traffic, are you there EZY Traffic? After about 12 months of virtually zero emails, EZY Traffic has decided to bombard it's members with an e-mail a day. This has been going on for almost a week now, and with absolutely nothing of value in the e-mails, it has quickly found my delete key. Remember that whole thing I said last week about proper e-mail management, this is a good example of how NOT to treat a mailing list.
- A new 'exchange' was launched this week, called 100 Free Hits. The concept seemed simple, submit your URL and they would send 100 'free' hits to your site. Imagine my surprise when my Tracker Link (ad tracker) was disallowed. The reason, it created a error page. Now if anyone knows Trackerlinks, you will know that this is one of the most reliable and effective ad trackers. Smells to me like someone does'nt want their traffic tracked?
- Purple Echos Hits Pro will be offline for a little while longer. The owner is going through a trying time right now and I wanted to wish her and her family the best! PEHP will be back though, so be sure to look out for the re-launch.

Actually, there's quite a few ways to make some cash from hit exchanges. The first being the site you are advertising in the system itself. Now this does not mean that any site you promote, will turn a profit. But if you keep the site simple, to the point and it catches the surfer's attention, you have a great opportunity right there.
Upgrading in various exchanges can also deliver steady income each month. By upgrading and promoting the exchanges, you are essentially creating revenue streams in a tool you use anyways. May as well get paid from it too!

| Program Review - Wolf Surfer |

What makes a good exchange? Is it the unique traffic? Is it traffic flow? Is it site design? Is it a bit of everything? Or is it simplicity?
Hit exchanges come in all shapes and sizes, and Wolf Surfer is the first hit exchange I know of, that actually went on a diet! Let me explain. Wolf Surfer used to be quite a confusing program. It had all the bells and whistles, downloadable tools, e-mailing systems, it was quite confusing and for me, took away from the hit exchange side of things.
Take a look at the new Wolf Surfer and you can see a slimed down version that focuses on traffic delivery and does it very well. Sometimes I really do think that simplicity works best and in the case of Wof Surfer, it has! The members area is easy to navigate, the site design is very nice and the overall feel of the program is much improved.
Sometimes it's not how much you offer, as it is what you offer! Wolf Surfer delivers what you want, traffic!

| New Exchange of the Week - Cyber Hits Club |
|
Rule number 1...When launching a new hit exchange, please add a graphic, or two...Something that will peak my interest and keep me coming back. A funny concept? A joke? A picture?
Cyber Hits Club is an interesting program, but will proboubly go down as another statistic. It uses the AutoHits.dk script but is in fact a manual surf program. Their ad copy is really good, and is proboubly the reason I signed up. Alas, without any kind of graphic, logo or site design, it falls short.
A good start, but definately needs work!
