Welcome to the newest issue of the Hit Exchange News and this week's 'One To Click On by Jon'.

Issue 38! Hit Exchange News is almost a year old now, since the day I started to register domain names and plan the newsletter, and in a few months we will reach 52 issues. It's amazing to look over the archives and read the past issues, to see how the industry has progressed and what exciting things lay ahead.

This is just a little tip I've tried to keep doing since I started HEN and my other online businesses. Keep track of everything you've done. Most people see the HEN archive as reference, I see it as that PLUS a photo album of this e-zine. Think of the photo albums at home, they bring back memories and a history of your life. Keeping track of your online business let's you KNOW what you've done and where you are heading.

Analize the goals you set for your business with these 'photo albums'. Did you receive the income you thought you would have? Is there something you could have done differently? But what I think is the most important thing you can get from this is a record of your accomplishments. Folks, you need to feel good about what you do, and keeping track of your progress does this.

I invite you all to visit the HEN archives and check out what was said and what was discussed. The history of HEN has been an exciting one for me, I hope you enjoy it as well!

"Why is it that people insist on giving us music or voices with their ads? The annoying sound doesn't provoke me to join those programs. If anything, the sounds have the opposite effect. For instance, the "Orpheus in the Underworld" ditty for MoneyLegs makes me ill. And then, there are the guys from Oregon. Argh! Don't they know I'd prefer to listen to my own music while surfing ads and that their noise is intrusive?"

• The 'Fake Visitor' Plague is about to be released. I'm not sure what genius started this scam but there's a new program TARGETED to hit exchange owners that is made to send fake traffic to the members sites. Yes, all an owner has to do is plug this little snake of a program in and presto, they have just delivered 1,000 hits a day to each of their members sites. This is of great concern to everyone involved in the industry and I ask everyone to let folks know that this only HURTS your businesses. Want more information on this? • MPAM has become an exchange owners best friend! With the increasing abuse of rotators, MPAM has implemented a 'check' feature for their in house rotators so that exchange owners can view each and every website in the rotator. This is a great step and hopefully all rotator programs will follow suit. Frame breakers beware!

• Global Surf Pro recently advised their membership that they are no longer accepting pop up / exit ads of any kind. Is this a trend that will become common place in the exchanges? Look at the spyware that is being promoted by these big name pop up exchanges, and you can understand Global Surf's point of view. Time will tell!

You can check out Issue 8 for a feature I did on my favorite and least favorite upgrades. While some of the 'bad ones' are outdated, the 3 that are there, are great choices.

I would also include Clicks Matrix into this as well. Simply put for 5$ a month, you cannot go wrong. Also, Hit Safari is a great upgrade as well!

You should choose an exchange that allows you to profit from the upgrade and that delivers some great benefits. A higher surf ratio and bonus credits each month are sure bets.

It's one of those programs that never sticks out, but always seems to be in my top 20 performers each day. Wired Hits is a newer exchange but seemed to go right under the radar of most surfers.

Wired Hits has a basic but easy to use script that reminds me of the old USAsuperclicks sites. It is a custom job as you can tell by the neat cheat protection it has. A very easy to use and understand members section keeps you surfing with no confusion at all.

So why did a steady performing hit exchange not become a more popular product? Site design? Lack of promotion? Time of release? It could be a combination of all these things, what's important is the productivety of the exchange now and while it's definately not a grand slam success, Wired Hits delivers the hits!

New Exchange of the Week - Jack Ten Forty

Here's another PHP Lite script! There's been some talk in some forums recently about the 'speed' of which these scripts deliver traffic. Let me tell you, you won't find a complaint about traffic flow from me. Jack Ten Forty is a brand new program with some very personal touchs to it. There is plenty of features as in all PHP Lite scripts and I'm sure more will be done to the site, but so far, so good.
