The Pulse of the Hit Exchange Industry!

One To Click On by Jon

Welcome to the newest issue of the Hit Exchange News and this week's 'One To Click On by Jon'.

I joined a program called Join My Free Downline over the past week, mainly because they had a 'secret' on how to generate thousands of free hits using traffic exchanges. It was a very well designed site and once I joined, I enjoyed their 'lessons' on hit exchange advertising. They had a great splash / doorway page to be used in traffic exchanges, but I found something else that concerned me.

A lot of these downline clubs and various online businesses have begun to 'embrace' hit exchanges as a valuable advertising medium, but what concerns me is the following found directly in the Join My Free Downline 'lesson' for exchange advertising;

"The first thing you need to do is sign up for a FREE email account at Yahoo.com, because each program you join will send you a confirmation email, and from time to time they will send you newsletters. You don't want that mail showing up at your regular email address."

My reaction is for the dozen or so programs listed in JMFD, they are basically teaching their membership that all email sent by hit exchange owners does not deserve to be in your primary accounts. Why? Do hit exchange owners send 'garbage e-mails'? Is the information that owners send to their members not valuable enough for these members? What about important updates about the exchange itself?

Yeah, some exchanges do send a few too many e-mails, but the majority of these program owners are hard working individuals. To think that folks are being taught to dump all e-mail received by exchanges is something I hope will be banished.

It's an exciting time for hit exchanges. More and more, this form of advertising is being discovered by new website owners and surfers alike. Hopefully this trend continues and the countless hours of work that owners put into their program can be appreciated by all =)

Thank you so much for being a subscriber, and I hope you enjoy this week's issue!

Jon =)

The News

  • Traffic Swarm is back in the news this week. Apprently, the founder, Sam Robbins, had sold his part in the program a few months ago to persue other endeavours. Well Mr. Robbins has taken back control of one of the most popular exchanges on the net. Still not sure if this is a hit exchange or a text exchange, but wow, is it ever popular.

  • The second coming of Shared Profit or a really good idea? 123 Clicks, has implemented an Advertisement Revenue Sharing Pool (what they call an ARSP) which basically allows members to profit from all credit sales generated from the net's most popular pro-only hit exchange. You can also win 'shares' by surfing. Hopefully this can start the traffic flow again, as 123 Clicks has become a snails pace for hits.

  • Hit Hurricane is going through some cosmetic surgery right now. Gone is the old Harland Script and in is the new TCN exchange script. This new script, coupled with a new site design is sure to make Hit Hurricane a very popular exchange. Look for the new design very shortly.

  • Clickin Fingers has got new ownership! And it looks to be in great hands. Steve from Jack Ten Forty and Robert from Raging Bull Traffic are now co-owners of one of the most active exchanges online. Things should be smooth sailing with those two at the helm!

Top 10 List

This week's results are based on traffic statistics (unqiue hits, page views, hits remaining, hits delivered) and if the exchange delivered results (sign ups). The industry changes just like in the real world, so an exchange may not be on the list this week, but will be number 1 next week! Discuss this week's Top 10 list in the Net Marketing Forum!

Enjoy this week's list!

  1. Cash Clicking
  2. Fast Lane Traffic
  3. Hit Safari
  4. Million Dollar Traffic
  5. Webmaster Quest
  6. Traffic Round Up
  7. Vinterchange

Hey Jon!

This week's question comes from Jeffrey;

"I want to create a sales page for an affiliate program I am using. You have mentioned in previous issues to make the exchange a quick loading and eye catching design. Is there any other tips I should follow for creating my sales page?"

My reply;

Thanks for the e-mail =)

Quick loading and eye catching fits the bill! However, I have found that if you find some comical clip art or a funny one liner, it tends to grab people's attention as well. The point of a splash page (sales page) is to peak the viewers interest. Making the viewer laugh at a picture is a good way of doing this. Remember, you get 15 seconds to KEEP them interested.

Do you have a burning question about hit exchanges? Thinking of starting one? Tired of clicking for hours with no results? This is H.E.N.'s weekly Q & A section where I will answer a question every week that you ask me! Send all your questions to me here and just put HEY JON! in the subject line!

Congratulations to Jeffrey for winning last issue's contest. Remember, keep sending in your 'Hey Jon' questions for your chance to win a quick 10 bucks and a month's worth of banner ad space in HEN!

Program Review - Web Biz Insider

The jury is out on Web Biz Insider. I have been a member for quite some time and in my time online I have heard everything about this program. I have heard it's one of the best online, while other folks have told me to stay clear of it. Some people have spoke highly of the support, while some have claimed to never hear back from the owner.

I have had some issues with WBI but one thing I have noticed, the owner is always ready to offer support and defend his exchange. A few weeks ago, I was concerned about traffic delivery. The owner addressed my concerns and the problem has been resolved. So as of now, WBI is performing very well.

This is a BIG program with thousands of members. It is very popular and does have a very active membership. This could be one of the best exchanges online, or one of the worst. During the past few weeks, it has been a good program for me. Time will tell so the jury is still out!

% Unique Traffic: 65
Results: 3.0 out of 5.0
Traffic Flow (Speed of Delivery): Average
Site Design: 3.0 out of 5.0
Customer Service: 4.0 out of 5.0
Ease of Use: 3.0 out of 5.0

Overall Rating: 3.0 Mouse Clicks (Rating out of 5.0)

Things That Make You Go...Hmmm? (A 'Different' Look at the Industry!)

  • Direct from the NOBSZone: "Our revolutionary, trademarked and patent pending software, Blink Alert(TM) that is going to take the net by storm is nearly finished." Sounds like Tool Bar Traffic to me? Hmmm....

  • Talk about HYPE...Here's one, Spam Terminator! Hmmm...

  • Bra Start is back online! And they still don't allow my tracking link? Hmmm....

New Exchange of the Week - Viral Express

First it was the PHP Lite script, then came the LJ Script, now it seems to be the time of the TCN Exchange script. The brand new exchange created by Jose Garriga Jr is jam packed with all the goodies and easy to use features of other programs using this popular commerical script.

This exchange will become very active, very soon, as the database which this will be promoted to will be quite large. It has some 'hype' too it, and with proper promotion this could become one of the most used programs online. We shall see.
