Welcome to the newest issue of the Hit Exchange News and this week's 'One To Click On by Jon'.
Wow, what a busy week it's been in hit exchange land. Get ready for a jam packed issue with lots of issues and news that's
sure to capture your interest. I did a little poll last week, and while it was not one of the most active polls in recent
memory, the numbers were quite interesting.
According to the poll, 57% of those who answered said the speed in which traffic is delivered is their primary concern when
choosing a hit exchange to surf. Very interesting, because of the emphasis some exchange owners place on different features
in their exchange. Some would make you believe that if they give away hundreds of credits, that will make you sign up and
surf. That appears to be false. (Take note new exchange owners!)
Yes, the speed of delivery is VERY important. It's simple really, people join a hit exchange for traffic, if that is not
delivered, people are not happy. There's another feature that attracts me to certain exchanges, and it scored number two on
our little poll. Winning credits AKA having fun while you surf came in with 21% of the vote. So the message to hit exchange
owners is, make sure your hit exchange is FUN TO SURF. Add a game, add some trivia, give away free hits for surfing, keep
people happy!
A combination of all things (speed of delivery, customer support, unique design, prize winnings, cheat prevention) is what
makes a good hit exchange. But when it all comes down to the nitty gritty, if you don't deliver hits, you will have a hard
time of keeping your members interested. What good is a trivia game if no one is going to play?

- Webmaster Quest launched a new exchange! I mentioned this a few weeks ago and it's finally here, well at least one of
them. First thing to note, this is not a website exchange. It's called BlogExplosion and it's the first ever Blog
Exchange. For anyone that does not know what a blog is, this is a pretty good starting point and I applaud the
WebmasterQuest team for stepping outside of the 'norm' and trying to bring new people into our little industry! Very
unique!
- ClickThru.com is back into the spotlight! Arguably the
first ever hit exchange (I like to call them the grand daddy of exchanges) recently had a 're-launch grand opening' of their
new site design and concept. If you are a member of Click Thru you know they are looking also for new people to bring into
the industry and with their new promotions, members can surf to win DVD players, video games, candles, electric toothbrushes,
and just about everything else you could imagine. To tell you the truth, there is so many new and revised features, Click
Thru is definitely on it's way to very big things. Congratulations to the entire Click Thru team!
- Wow, call this a trend, but I'm starting to like it. Click Thru is giving away DVD players and now TS 25 is giving away over $1000 in cash prizes this
coming month. Prizes will be given away for most active surfers, referrers, and another contest called 'the drive for 5'.
It's great to see these bigger hit exchanges giving back to their members and hopefully we can all benefit from these latest
giveaways!
- Oh Fast Freeway, please show me the
way...PART 2! Well it looks like this program is TRYING to make a comeback. URLs have been disappearing and then re-appearing
everyday for the past week. If you are a member of FF, be sure to check out your members section and see which URLs are in
there. Hopefully this is a good sign that they are continuing to clean up this program.

exchange delivered results (sign ups). The industry changes just like in the real world, so an exchange may not be on the

So I got invited into Doug Williams (3 Step, Money Legs, Viral Visitors) new Best of the Best link directory. Or is it the
Rest of The Best? I can't remember, that's not important. This idea on paper seems VERY solid. Get a bunch of hit exchange
owners to link to each other's websites, and start to promote them offline. While Doug has some 'interesting' rules on how
to be included in this directory, I applaud him for doing something many hit exchange owners have not done!
Promote the industry offline! As you know, MoneyLegs.com, is home of the 200 Million offline classified ad campaign!
Good job! Finally someone has stepped up to the plate and has come to the understanding that the future of hit exchange
advertising is offline. We need new people to come into our industry and will it take 200 million classified ads to do it? I
don't know but it's a start!
So why doesn't the entire industry follow suit? Hopefully with the upcoming release of the Traffic Exchange Alliance, many of
these promotion ideas can be put into motion but I really think this is a good day for exchanges. Yeah Doug does things his
own way, and yeah some people don't agree with his tactics, but let's all agree on something, the guy is a success!
So will I join the Rest of the Best? I'm not sure if I want to rent out prime time ad space for a Money Legs banner but I
guarantee you one thing, hit exchanges are about to get a lot more exposure in the upcoming months. If anything, it's got me
thinking, and I hope offline advertising has got you excited too! Hit exchanges are the perfect promotional tool, we just need
more people to know about them!

| Program Review - Rewarding Traffic |

It's amazing the things to see when you actually track your own results. I get comments each and every week about how do I
'rate hit exchanges'? It's simple really, I'm looking if traffic is actually being delivered from the exchanges (among other
things too). Rewarding Traffic is a program that you may not know exists, but if you are tracking your stats you KNOW they
deliver.
Roughly a year ago this program popped up and to a lukewarm reception. Still it amassed a membership of almost 3,000 members
and has been delivering traffic week in and week out. Sometimes the best gems will take some time to un-earth and I think
Rewarding Traffic is a very good find!
Using an old A Script, this program has a very unique look to it. A very smooth users area makes for an easy to use
experience. Surfing is a breeze, but sometimes their double confirmations on the cheat protection can become a bother. But
that is really minor.
All in all this program has delivered week in and week out, and while it's not the most known hit exchange on the internet,
it's one of the most consistent!

Remember Ad Credits? That was a cool program huh? Hits Coming is basically Ad Credits part 2! Co-owned by the same
administrator, this program looks great! Not only is it a unique script, but the combination of hit exchange, exit
exchange,banner exchange and e-zine list builder is such a welcomed treat.
It's got all the bells and whistles of a great looking program and the only complaint I have is the confusing credit to page
view ratio. It's something like 75 credits that equal one page view? So when you transfer credits, make sure you have a
