Interview - James Grandstaff of MyLSNClub.com

1. How did you first come across the concept of the 'hit exchange'?

Nick Martin, for the most part, introduced me to this industry.

2. Nick Martin and yourself have very similar websites. Is there a partnership between MyLSNClub and LSN itself?

Good question. The software came from the script that Nick Martin uses for LifeStyle Networker. He offers the software and installation to anyone who joins our 3STEP team. When I started my club, I decided to name it MyLSNClub after the original that Nick started. No, there is no partnership other than Nick and I are in the same team in many programs.

3. Not only have your programs embraced the concept of 'quick loading and eye catching design' but you also focus on building your mailing lists. What other essentials should people do to succeed with hit exchange promotion?

You're full of good questions today Jon! The biggie, as you mentioned, is building your list using lead capture pages. The second most important factor is what someone does with their list. I teach my team to reach people on a personal level and not spam them with the latest and greatest randomizer of the week. Some refer to it as relationship marketing and it's working wonders for me. The days of getting an auto responder and loading it with your messages and expect people to trust and buy from you are near gone, if not already gone. You have to get to know and help people before they'll want to be in your team or buy from you. Especially here in the hit exchange industry.

4. How do you see the industry, progressing or otherwise?

It seems to me that there are far too many people starting traffic exchanges. People that don't know what they're doing. I almost started one myself if you can remember and I decided to leave it to the few pros who are good at and know what they're doing. I also feel everyone should be getting more outsiders involved in the industry. I know some are and I think that's great!

5. Your members are very active in MyLSNClub and seem to enjoy surfing, what 'features' do you look for in adding hit exchanges to your program?

Features are important such as cheat protection, and unique visitor count and such... but for me, it's more about who's behind the curtain that will persuade me one way or the other about adding a new program. Most of the listed programs are well established and I also have some programs that are very new. The newer ones however, were added because they were referred to me by people such as yourself and others in the industry. I will admit, some are just not delivering and I may be replacing a few here soon. I know there's a ton of good ones not listed in MyLSNClub yet.

6. What's next in the life of James Grandstaff and MyLSNClub.com?

Well, as some of you may know, my wife Trinette and I just had a baby girl 8 weeks ago. Her name is Zoë Ann. So I'm a proud new Dad. As for MyLSNClub, I'm in the process of having the script re-written and when it's done it will be 10 times better than it is now. Lots of cool new features with tons of benefits. Keep your eye out and Keep on Surfin' H.E.N. Readers!
