Interview - Tony Tezak of Traffic-Edge.com1) Your face comes up a lot in the exchanges, how effective do you think is putting a face to a name? It is so important to put a personal touch to your sites. You can make yourself different from everyone else by placing your photo, name, telephone number/email address on your site. People know they are dealing with a real person! 2) You mention in an article I read that 'it takes hard work'. Why do you think some people are not willing to put in an effort online (an example would be instead of using hit exchanges, they use auto hits exchanges?) People fall into the trap of doing things the easy way....going to get rich quick. Doing business on the internet is just like running a business off line. Take a walk down Main Street in your home town and see if you see anyone 'making it' working 30 minutes or 1 hour a day. You are not going to make money unless you are willing to 'put in the time' and spend a little money. Just like the shop owner, you have to have your shop.....a domain. 3) You have generated 44,000 referrals in different programs across the net. What would you say is the one 'technique' that has given you the most success with your promotions? It used to be that you could place any affiliate page in a traffic exchange and get referrals....no more. There are thousands of pages and they all look alike. Personal Splash Pages and Lead Capture pages are now the way to get attention on traffic exchanges. A quick hitting header, 3 or four simple points, and your photo with name and contact information work best. If you use a Lead Capture only send your customer the information they asked....do not spam them with a hundred other programs. Also, if you are going to ad them to a list, tell them up front on your Lead Capture page. 4) Is there a method to how you surf? A time table that others could use to help them maximize their surfing. I surf about 80 traffic exchanges and group them into groups of ten. My surfing day is in three parts....morning, afternoon and evening. I usually surf two hours in the morning, two hours in the afternoon and 3-4 hours in the evening. I rotate my groups between the days of the week and hours of surfing. In other words, I don't want to only surf Group 1 in the mornings each Monday. 5) For someone new to hit exchanges, what would be your best advice? There are many places that rate traffic exchanges. Ask your upline which ones they recommend. Then, decide on which 10 traffic exchanges you want to spend most of your surfing time. You have to decide how much time you will spend surfing each day. Make a schedule for your surfing time and STICK to it. It takes discipline, a commitment and time! You can always add traffic exchanges to you list as you become more comfortable surfing. DO NOT be timid in asking questions of your upline.
